You will spend the day in the enchanting Botanic Garden following the paths that wind through orchards, forests and olive groves, until you reach the heart of Parco Romantico della Regina (Queen's Romantic Park), inaugurated by Queen Victoria in 1893. On its banks is the quarry from which Lorenzo il Magnifico had the stones extracted for the Columns of the Chapel of the Princes in the Basilica of San Lorenzo. The garden has been a destination for secret meetings since the end of the 19th century. You can visit the entire farm and the animals that live there, getting to know the ponies, Dexter cows and mini-cows, horses, ostriches, hens, geese and peacocks, and Cinta Senese pigs up close.
